Rehoming

Could you offer a forever home to an animal who desperately needs it?

Across the country there are thousands of homeless and unwanted animals, either living as strays outside or in rescue centres.
Often these animals have been abandoned at birth and have never experienced life inside a comfortable and safe home environment.

Each one is unique – he or she will come with their own individual history and personality. Who will you find?

Why adopt?

There are many sites that offer kittens and puppies for sale – often at very exorbitant prices. These operations can be big business and profit-driven breeders may take short cuts that lead to the animals that you are buying being malnourished or unwell, meaning that you could end up having to fork out for huge veterinary bills.

Adopting from a shelter ensures that you are not funding the cruel puppy and kitten farming trade, and we guarantee that each animal comes microchipped, neutered and with a complete health check. We will also give you sound and and honest advice without the pressure of being rushed into making a decision.

We have also got together with MORE TH>N to help support every person who gives a second chance to a cat or dog and we are offering six weeks of free pet insurance if you rehome a dog or cat at one of our centres or branches.

If you feel that you would like to offer a home to one of the animals that come into our care contact our rehoming advice service for details of the animals that are currently seeking homes. Simply call the Branch Helpline on 01322 286720 and choose the rehoming option. You can also use our national directory at rspca.org.uk/findapet.
