Worried about veterinary bills?
Just like us, from time to time animals get sick and need medical attention.
Despite our concerns, often the thought of the veterinary bills is off-putting and the trip to the Vets is delayed – possibly making the situation even worse, increasing the suffering of your animals and the eventual cost of treating the problem.
Think that there may be something wrong with your pet, or just want to get them checked out for peace of mind?
At the RSPCA Kent North West we offer basic veterinary care at a reduced cost for those in receipt of benefits or in financial difficulty. Treatments available are for general injury and illness, fleas/worms etc. and vaccinations.
The following is an overview of the requirements to be eligible for our subsidised veterinary care – for full details of the service and to find out if you qualify please ring our helpline on 01322 286720 and select option three to speak to the Branch Animal Welfare Administrator.
Who is eligible?
To be eligible you must live in a DA or a BR8 postcode and should be in receipt of one of the following benefits: Housing Benefit, Income Support, Job Seekers Allowance, State Retirement Pension or State Widows Benefit. If you are not in receipt of one of these benefits but are in financial hardship, there is a chance that we may still be able to help.
The Clinic will run at the Shrubbery Veterinary Practice in Northfleet on Wednesday afternoons from 2:30pm – 4.00pm. Clients will pay a reduced rate of £15 + VAT towards the cost of a consultation and we the RSPCA will subsidise the difference.
