EMERGENCY GERBIL RESCUE!
You may have glanced at this article in the local news recently: https://www.kentonline.co.uk/…/suspected-arsonist-in…/
Nothing too unusual but what wasn’t mentioned was that an RSPCA Inspector was called to the property too. She pulled out two large taped up boxes and amidst layers and layers of rubbish found many gerbils fighting for survival. When the Inspectors appealed to us for help we just couldn’t say no. We rushed to buy new accommodation and take on the horrendous task of sorting through the rubbish to find the gerbils. Not all of them were alive. Those that were had injuries from fighting where they had been competing for any scrap of food and because males and females were all attempting to live together.
The situation was horrendous but we took the surviving gerbils to the vets and then put them into new healthy and clean set ups. You can see from the photos that they are probably the happiest gerbils in the world!
Fourteen surviving gerbils are now ready for adoption including these ten males. If you would like to give some of these gerbils an incredible second chance at life please click the link to find out more: https://www.rspca.org.uk/…/GERBIL…/ref/BSA2122644/rehome
