Emma has been out and about this Summer teaching hundreds of children all about animals. She had a great day at Gravesend Engagement Day, a free event for the children of Gravesend to attend and take part in lots of activities during the school holidays. We focused on the importance of buglife and biodiversity, the ways you can encourage it in your own garden and the importance of bugs to all other animals and the wider ecosystem. We made bug hotels and butterfly suncatchers to celebrate. Thanks to the generosity of the the local community we made over £50 to go towards the care of the animals we rescue.
At RSPCA Kent North West Branch the RSPCA we care about all animals, not just the usual cats and dogs. We have lots of fun activities for little ones which teach the importance of insects or “minibeasts”.
